Cynthia Weeden Profile

Cynthia Weeden (President) has over 22 years of recognized experience in an intellectual leadership role; including senior management at global companies such as LANSource Technologies (acquired by 3COM), and Opalis Software (acquired by Microsoft). For more than ten years, she has worked directly in the area of publicsafety as Founder and President of FutureShield. Cynthia offers her expertise to assist the leaders in Canadian security and emergency management, as they work to integrate innovative technology into their daily operations. These include critical infrastructure organizations; such as energy, banking, governments, and transportation.

Cynthia has been an expert speaker and offered counsel on the topic of convergence in the area of Information Technology and Public Safety. She has spoken at the Canadian Electrical Association, Federated Press, CANASA, Conference Board of Canada, and CITIG (Canadian Interoperability Technology Interest Group).

She was named 2011ís Runner-up for the Canadian Women in Technology Women Entrepreneur of the Year by the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA).
